In Arkansas, these two bills that have both been files so far, focus on helping voters. This is from the opinion that everyone should have easy accessibility to voting in Arkansas. Two two bills can help immensely.
SB508 recognizes Election Day as a holiday. I think this day should already be considered a holiday, to give everyone a fair opportunity to go vote. The next bill works nicely with this one.
SB509 guarantees two hours of paid leave on Election Day. This is incredible! When I went to vote in 2020 with my significant other we were considering the people who can't get time off work to vote. This really goes against our constitutional rights to vote, and that's what SB509 will help! This should allow for more votes.

Hopefully these bills will be seen by the higher offices and help Arkansas come together to allow for more votes to be heard in the next election.
